Arathena Rocks Hotel

Although the interior looks a bit old fashioned / out dated, it is a good hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was really polite. They work hard but have a smile on their face everyday! The hotel is about 15 to 20 minutes walking distance from the boulevard so it is quiet and far from all the crowds. The breakfast has enough options and tasted good. Some of the little breads were a bit chewy. There were also alot of sweet things to eat. The pool is clean and big enough. There are enough sunbeds, so there's no need to wake up at 6 am to reserve your sunbed (Dutchies ;) ) You can also swim in the Mediterranean sea behind the hotel which is accessible via a staircase. We had a good and pleasant stay at the hotel and would recommend it.

Fantastic hotel with all the amenities we could have asked for. The location is perfect. Away from the noisy parte of Naxos but still at a walkable distance to town. Private access to the sea with a ladder. The management was very accomodating with special wishes (early breakfast when we went on daytrips). Service at the reception was always very friendly and helpful when we needed directions or help with booking a trip. Room cleaning was always very thorough. The rooms have been recently renovated and bathrooms are modern and clean.

The hotel has beautiful surroundings - sea, garden, silence. Large pool with salty water, perfect for a swim, plus a small ladder that goes straight into the sea. (Not recommended with medium or high waves.) Supernice staff, good cleaning service - the hotel is loaded with armchairs, paintings, works of art, but my dust allergy is absent. I appreciate the quiet nights, and the location, a bit off the beaten track. The walk to Giardini Naxos is really nice. Not sure if the hotel meets all formal requirements for four stars, but frankly I don't care, I'm simply having great time here. The meals: yes there are small to moderate queues for breakfast. Let's hope the buffet comes back fast;). I'm not a fan of the hotel's cuisine, generally speaking: the other meals and drinks are rather pricey, and they taste worse than what you can savour in the town. No Sicilian specialties, many small imperfections in the dishes and drinks. Well at least I've got a reason to go for a walk to the town ;).

Really enjoyed my stay here,staff great and very friendly,we had a nice room with big balcony with a great veiw of Mt Etna in the distance and the other the bay of Naxos and Taomina.Room was big with comfortable beds and good size bathroom with nice shower and good water pressure cleaned to a great standard every day,AC was good.Pool area was nice with a good size salt water pool surrounded by nicely kept gardens,Breakfast ok the usual, nice lunch overlooking the pool and sea food was good at lunch never had dinner so can't comment.All in all a nice hotel ok needs a little TLC in places but for me the position the views and staff made it. It's a quirky type of hotel but yes I would definitely recommend it and most certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again
